IIS values both celebration of life and service to the suffering. For the former, it has a highly professional Music department, both vocal and instrumental. It also has fully operational studios for Fine Arts-Sculpture, Painting, Graphics, Commercial Art and Photography and a Workshop for Engineering Drawing.
 
The Library:
The library has a rich collection of books (over 15,000) and subscribes to a large number of periodicals and dailies. It has also evolved a fully computerized system to answer the reading needs of a learning society.

Laboratories :
We have 3 laboratories (Chemistry, Physics & Biology) to support the Science Stream. In addition, we have a well equipped Computer Lab with latest computers connected on LAN. It has all the latest software and provides connectivity to Internet.

First Aid :
IIS has excellent First Aid facilities when a qualified Nurse in attendance during school hours.
 
Conveyance :
The School arranges to and fro transportation for its students on usual payment.
  

Towards a Global Vision:
India International School has had association with educational organizations working for an international system of education. Its affiliation with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Geneva helped it enrich its teaching strategies and enlarge its range of reference. It also introduced IIS to the International Schools Association (ISA), Geneva.

As a member school of ISA, the school Principal was elected to its Governing Board. The school has also been accepted by the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) as one of its members. Our association with these international organizations will help our students :

(1) to have a greater awareness of world issues and their human implications,
(2) appreciate differences in perception and expression,
(3) promote cross-cultural understanding,
(4) acquaint them with technological advancements made the world over, and
(5) realise the significance of ‘One world, One future’. In sum, the association will help them develop a balanced outlook on life and grow into open, honest and caring human beings. It will also offer us opportunities for interaction and the enrichment of our programmes.

IIS is planning to restart the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma of the IBO. It is doing it to satisfy the educational needs of NRIs who are keen to acquaint their children with the rich cultural heritage of India and its philosophical thought. The IB Programme is a two year pre-university course designed to facilitate the mobility of students across countries and to promote international understanding. The comprehensive course of study for the diploma is designed to provide students with a balanced education, ‘education of the whole person’.
