The Campus :
Children are not subjected to any form of test at the time of making admissions. Instead the school authorities interact with the parents applying for admission of their children.

Admissions :
The Principal & Director is responsible for all admissions. New admissions are made only when there are vacancies. In case of any vacancy in any class, admissions are granted strictly on merit without any prejudice to caste, creed, sex or religion.
Grade X is a terminal stage in the 10+2 scheme of education followed by the school. Admission to Grade XI shall be subject to screening of all the eligible students. Regularly in attendance, consistent academic performance, good conduct and exemplary behaviour are essential for admission to Grade XI. The school shall fix up eligibility norms for admission to be considered for admission. Grade X students of IIS who are desirous to seek admission to Grade XI have to apply for admission within ten days of the declaration of the declaration of their Board results. There is no reservation of seats for those who fail to apply in time.
 

Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities :
The school strives hard not only for the academic development of its students, but also for their physical, mental and emotional growth through its four houses (Carnations, Daffodils, Orchids and Tulips), Games, Sports, Music, Dramatics, Elocutions, Debates, Excursions and individual and Group Discussions. 

It offers a wide range of games and sports facilities to students with a sports complex comprising a swimming pool, an indoor badminton court and a tennis court.
  

The Science Club (PRISM) :
The club has been operational for over six years. It was set up to develop among students the spirit of enquiry, investigation and experimentation. It organizes exhibitions, quiz programmes, guest lectures cum demonstrations and other activities to realize its objectives.
 

Scouts & Guides :
We have introduced Scouts & Guides to help students develop self reliance, discipline and public service through outdoor activities.
 
National Cadet Corps (Air Wing) :
NCC is open to boys from Std. VII to IX selected on the basis of a test of physical fitness.
 

Excursions :
The school has been offering its students opportunities for organized visits to places of interest in the country and outside it. Its teams have already visited Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Karnataka. A group of students studying French visited France in 1995.
 
The Interact Club:
Interact is a Rotary sponsored service club dedicated to community service and world fellowship. The Club was established in November 1997.
