SOS Children’s Villages of India is a voluntary child care organization, providing care to thousands of destitute children who have been deprived of the natural order of the family and help them grow as decent human beings in a natural family and integrate with the society. SOS Kinderdorf International is the umbrella organization, based in Vienna, Austria. The SOS Village at Jaipur, was founded in 1974 and currently has 146 children under its care in 14 family homes.

The aim is to provide a family and a home to orphaned and destitute children wherein they feel secure and grow as normal children. The family comprises of their SOS Mother, brothers and sisters & sometimes an aunt also.The Mothers have the support of an efficient team of co-workers  who are trained in child care. There are more than 30 such villages spread around the country and a large number in 131 countries worldwide.

  

   

You can also help by sponsoring a child/becoming a village sponsor by contributing Rs. 3000 per annum, educate a child with Rs. 600 annually, become a friend of the SOS with Rs. 300 a year.
