On the occasion of Ram Navmi Julus on 10th April 1984, Shankar Gas Light was awarded for best lighting by the Shri Ram Krishna Jayanti Mahautsav Samiti. This award was given by Rajasthan's Governor Mr. O. P. Mehra.
