Mahila Chikitsalaya is a educational government hospital established on 1st March 1987 that provides medical facilities & create awareness of the hazards, problems & preventions of diseases or ailments in women.

 This hospital is located in the heart of the city, opposite Sanganeri Gate.

With a qualified team of 30 doctors & 80 nurses this hospital strives its best to serve the needy & sick.

The hospital has following wards/departments :

1. Delivery Room :
This department offers round the clock services with a staff of 13 nurses, 8 doctors, senior doctors & facility of 8 delivery tables

2. Septic Labour Room :
Septic patients & patients whose abortion is to be done are treated in this room. There are 6 nurses servicing the patients round the clock.

3. Operation Theatre :
Microsurgery, laparoscopy, cancer operation, hystroscopy surgery, abortion & delivery through surgery, and other big and small operations are carried out by doctors & senior doctors.
There are 4 tables and a total of 13 nursing staff.

4. Post Operative Ward :
Patients who need intensive medical care after operation are shifted to this ward with a facility of 8 beds. The medicines & equipments required just after the operation are available to provide immediate facilities to the patients.

5. Emergency Ward :
Excellent medical facilities are provided to patients in case of emergency. All necessary & important medical treatment facilities are available, 24 hours.

6. Laboratory & Blood Bank :
Laboratory facilities for blood test, urine, stool test etc. are available. All facilities & equipments for different laboratory tests are also there.
The deptt. has nine technicians and one senior doctor.
Lab facilities & blood bank facilities are available round the clock.

7. X-Ray, Sonography Room :
X-Ray, Sonography & E.C.G. facilities are available as per doctors instructions and consultancy.
Timings are from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This deptt. has a recently acquired latest colour Doppler Sonography Machine.

8. Newly Born Child Unit :
This unit is for treatment of any diseases of the newly born children. Required staff & senior doctors are available round the clock.

9. Family Planning :
This centre is situated at the main entrance of the building. Means of family planning like Nirodh, Copper-T, Contraceptive pills, Iron tablets etc. are available free of cost.

Other Facilities :
Free medical treatment & diagnostic facilities to people living below the poverty line.

Kitchen : 
Provision of free diet, milk, curd, egg etc. Meals are served to the patients at their beds.

Enquiry : 
At the main entreance 4 receiptionist are working day & night to provide information about the doctors, patients & other facilities.

Medicines : 
 Medical store facility is available within the premises of the hospital for 24 hours.

Ambulance : 
Ambulance is available round the clock.

Record Room : 
Information regarding births & deaths is maintained here & sent to the Nagar Nigam through this department.
