Oncolytic Drugs Heptaplatin, a novel platinum complex was approved for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, in combination with 5-fluorouracil. Exemestance is the first oral aromatase inactivator for the treatment of postmenopausal women with advanced breast tumors that no longer respond to tamoxifen. Temozolomide for glioblastoma, celecoxib for familial adenomatous polyposis and cytarabine liposome injection for lymphomatous meningitis were the other oncolytic drugs introduced last year. |
