Cardiovascular Drugs Telmisartan, was the latest addition to the evergrowing angiotensin II blocker class of anti-hypertensive agents. Nifekalant is a class III antiarrythmic agent that acts by selectively blocking potassium channel. It was introduced last year for serious ventricular arrythmias. Colforsin dapropate hydrochloride, an adenylate cyclase activator was the other cardiac drug introduced, for the treamtnet of acute heart failure. |
