About the School :
La Montessori School is an English Medium co-educational institution planned with the young impressionable student in mind and based on the fact that primary education affects most deeply the basic development of the child. 
 

Aims and Objective :
The School aims at creating an atmosphere of freedom vital for a child to attain a balanced personality and intellectual excellence through constructive and practical methods of learning. The School encourages an educational system which would be dedicated to a child’s all-round development be it curricular or co-curricular, without being burdensome. Special emphasis has therefore been laid on teaching through the lastest Playway Methods and advanced Audio-Visual teaching aids in order to bring about both variety and interest in the learning process.
 

Curriculum :
The Curriculum of the School includes basic elements that would introduce children to their fast-changing environment, encourage them to participate confidently in all classroom activity and provide opportunity for their physical, mental and cultural development through trained and helpful guidance from a qualified and experienced staff.
 

Admission :
Admission is granted to children purely on the basis of merit. Personal interview is essential for admission. At the time of admission every student is required to produce his/her birth certificate (or an affidavit to the effect) for Nursery class and a transfer certificate from the school last attended (for higher classes).

Transfer certificate is not issued unless all dues have been cleared.
 

Extra Curricular Activities :
The School organizes wide range of activities which would instill the ideals of responsibility, service, self-reliance and concern for others and allow students to make best use of their talents and capabilities. 
 

Other Details :
Library :
The School has a good collection of modern and traditional books, encyclopedias, magazines and papers of all descriptions for children.

Books and Stationery :
Text-books and stationery including exercise-books will be issued from the School store on cash payment.

Attendance :
It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance in a year for eligibility in Final Examination. 

Medical Examination :
Regular medical examinations are arranged annually by the School. A health card will be maintained to keep a record. First-aid will be given by the School during school hours, if need arises.

Moral Education :
The School curriculum will also include basic social and moral values and teaching of the fundamentals of all religions so that the students may learn to rise above all bias and prejudices.
